After leaving Westlake Boys High School in 1986 Boyd joined his father in the construction industry, completing his apprenticeship in 1990.
Boyd and his father, Jim, build many new houses in and around the North Shore as a two-man team. All aspects of the build were completed in house and as such Boyd gained a great knowledge of residential construction from the ground up.
Following a period of working on Super Yachts Boyd found his way to New York City where he became project manager for Team CIS; a bespoke construction team working predominately in the high-end fashion retail sector.
This was very intense work with attention to detail and scheduling paramount. Boyd completed projects for the likes of DKNY, Reiss, Polo and L’Occitane to name a few.
Boyd now heads Senior Construction as the sole Director and overall Project Manager.
